Hi, I'm Katie!
I first fell in love with photography in high school, working with a manual Pentax camera and learning my way through a darkroom. There was something powerful about watching an image slowly come to life, knowing that a single frame could hold a feeling, a story, a moment in time.

That love followed me through travel, growth, and motherhood, shaping the way I see and photograph the world today. I've always been drawn to real moments: the quiet ones, the joyful ones, the in between ones that often mean the most.

Carolina Flow Photography was created to offer more than just photos. It's an experience rooted in connection, ease, and intention, for families, couples and individuals who want imagery that feels timeless, personal, and true.
WHY PHOTOGRAPHY?
Photography has the ability to pause time, to hold onto moments long after they have passed. My goal is to create a relaxed, meaningful experience where you can simply be present. No pressure. No forced posing. Just space for genuine connection, laughter, and emotion to unfold naturally. I am so glad you are here, and I can't wait to capture the light, love, and story that make your life uniquely yours.
A PHOTOGRAPH IS PERSONAL
This photograph is from my Nana and Papa's wedding day.

​They were young, vibrant, and deeply in love. When I look at this image, I imagine the excitement of that day: the clinking of the glasses, the hum of the laughter, the warmth of the room, the promise of a life just beginning.

That single photograph carries generations of meaning. It invites us into a moment we never lived, yet somehow feel.

I believe that photography should feel natural, personal, and grounded in real life. I approach each photography session with care, intention, and a deep respect for the stories trust me to tell.

When I'm not behind the lens, I'm usually enjoying good wine and a comedy show, cuddling with my dogs, rock climbing at the Whitewater Center, or watching football with my favorite Pizza. But my greatest joy is spending time with my girls and photographing their milestones. I know firsthand how fleeting this beautiful, chaotic life can be, and I don't want to miss a single moment.
